Important Notes

  1. Recovery Tool Priority: dec_fixed.exe is a RECOVERY TOOL, not an attack tool. Detection should prioritize victim identification and post-incident investigation, not threat prevention.

  2. False Positive Management: Many indicators (readme.txt deletion, file operations) have legitimate use cases. Correlation across multiple indicators reduces false positives.
